Arboretum

Today we went to the Arboretum with Kathy and Nicholas. When we got there, I commented that the only other time I had been there was one time with them when I was waiting for Andrew. Her response was, "and now here you are...waiting again". I think I need to stay away from the arboretum.

My little maple leaf:

Watcha' thinking, Mr. Frog?

This was a big favorite:

Andrew would not leave this spot until I took his picture on the rabbit.

Playing musical instruments in the butterfly garden:

The adventurer:

When he got to the end of this one, he turned around to me, put his arms in the air and yelled, "I did it!"

Should I or shouldn't I? (he did)

I took this picture thinking I was getting a really great picture for my desk at school but he gave me the 'constipated' cheese smile instead.

Aunt Patty's birthday

Today is Aunt Patty's birthday so yesterday we took her to lunch. The first thing Andrew said when he woke up this morning was, "I eat lunch with Patty".

So happy to be out with his Aunt Patty. He loooooves her.

Andrew and the birthday girl:

I love the sly, sideways look he's giving her in this picture:

Checking out the book we gave her:

Happy Birthday, Gramma

It's Gramma's birthday today!

(sorry it's a little fuzzy...there aren't any second takes with a 2 year old)

BRU

One of our local Babies R Us stores had a grand re-opening today. They were having some characters come to visit so we went to see them. Andrew loved seeing Brobee, Arthur and D.W. (although he had no idea who Arthur was and kept calling him "Oso" which is spanish for bear.)

I'm really bummed that this one is so fuzzy. He was Andrew's favorite character.

Crib dancer

Since the crib is no longer being used for sleep, Andrew has decided to use it as a dance floor.

My favorite part of this dance is the diaper malfunction.

County Fair

Yep, you read that post title correctly. Today we went out to the county fair with Jill and the kids. Jill kept trying to tell me how great it would be and how many animals there would be but I wasn't convinced until she mentioned funnel cakes and lemon shake ups. I was hooked.

We actually had a really great time and Andrew loved seeing all the animals. I know that most kids love animals but Andrew just amazes me. He loves any kind of animal and is so kind to them. While we were in the petting zoo, he kept picking the straw up off the floor and putting it back into the sheep's cage. He is such an amazing little boy.

This rabbit was HUGE!

This guy sheared the sheep:

and she spun the wool into, well...wool.

This calf was born yesterday!!

Teeny, tiny little goats. So cute.

Tate and Andrew milk the 'cow' (it wasn't real).

Andrew got a sticker that said, "I milked a cow at the County Fair". He was very proud of it.

I had to take a picture of this sheep. It had the sweetest little face.

This is not the first cow that Andrew has ever petted:

This is!
This picture was on one of the disposable cameras that I had given Andrew's foster mom while he was in Guatemala.

This ride was CRAZY. Jill's kids loved it. Ellie could be on the promotional video for the company who makes it. She had no fear.

The three girls loved this ride. I was nauseous just watching them.
