Ornaments

We decorated the Christmas tree today. Andrew was SO excited to help. I gave him all the unbreakable ornaments and he put them on the tree all by himself. He dropped them all at least once and then would quickly mumble, "sorry, mama". I tried to assure him that it was ok and that his ornaments wouldn't break. He didn't really believe me until I dropped one and then laughed about it. I'm trying very hard to leave his ornaments where he put them but it is soooo hard. I might have to do a little rearranging after he goes to bed.

Yahtzee!

Andrew played his first game of Yahtzee tonight and look at his very first roll!

Actually, he rolled for Aunt Noreen while she played yahtzee...but he did get her 3 yahtzees over the course of one game. I think he's ready to take on Grandad.

I do it....

Andrew has been dressing himself lately....actually, he's been trying to do just about everything by himself. The only problem is that he puts everything on backwards:

So excited

I put the tree up today (no ornaments yet). Andrew took the train out of it's box and put it all together while I was in the kitchen. He was SO excited to play with it. He kept jumping in and out of the circle watching it go around.

Sheer joy:

Thanksgving Day

We had such a fun day today. We hung out at home in our jammies until about noon and then got ready to go over to the Daniels' for Thanksgiving dinner. Andrew loved the dinner (as long as we called it 'chicken' and not 'turkey') and had a great time playing with the kids. He had his first experience with play-doh which he LOVED (his pants are still soaking in the sink).

Ellie created a life-sized turkey:

Harper read a prayer of things to be thankful for:

Yum!

Andrew is ready for some 'chicken'!

There really just aren't any words for this picture:

Isn't he......

pretty in pink?

I don't think he's happy about the pink shirt.

Christmas stockings

I have had an idea for Christmas stockings in my head for 3 years. I haven't been able to find the red corduroy that I needed (and believe me, I looked everywhere). I finally found it this fall and finished the stockings today. I actually made 4 stockings. The other one is green corduroy and doesn't have a name on it....yet.

We have PEE!

Andrew pee'd on the potty tonight! He has tried before but was never successful. Lately, he has stepped out of the tub and pee'd all over the bathroom rug. Tonight, he got out of the tub and yelled, "I need a diaper!" I asked him if he wanted to try sitting on the potty and he did. As soon as he sat down, he pee'd. He immediately said, "I get a sticker!".

I don't think so

Andrew thought he was going to wear this outfit to church this morning. He wasn't.

He is wearing a plaid hat, a backwards t-shirt, Halloween socks and his shoes on the wrong feet.

The shirt is skin tight...it's a 9-12 month and he wears a 3T. I don't even know how he got into it.

Sleepy boy

Andrew has been sleeping in my bed but he wakes up a lot until I finally go to bed. Tonight, I had a project that I needed to finish. The third time he woke up, he came out to the livingroom where I was working. He laid down on the living room floor and fell asleep. He stayed that way for 30 minutes until I finished my project and carried him into bed.

Sam

We got to meet some new friends today at the zoo. Sam is a beautiful little boy from Ethiopia who is very close to Bear's age. He met us at the zoo and brought his wonderful parents, Megan and Greg. I cannot believe that this was the only picture we got of the two of them together....shame on us. You can see much better pictures of Sam on Megan's blog here.

Why is it that the pictures of Andrew smiling are always fuzzy?

Of course, he had to have his picture taken in the kangaroo pouch.

Andrew was sure he was going to pick up this rock.
