New friends

We went into the city today to meet some new Guatemalan friends. The park equipment was toddler size and much less stressful (for me) than some of the parks we go to. Andrew loved running around and climbing. The weather was perfect and there were a lot of new people to meet.

Have 'Bob', will travel.
Andrew will listen to his Veggie Tales CD over and over and over and...well, you get the picture. Headphones save my sanity.

This is what his hair looked like every time he went down the slide.

He was driving like mama (and of course, saying 'cheese')

This had better be the only time I see him behind bars.

Taking a little break in the shade for a minute.

Three little cuties.

As soon as Dario pulled a toy car out of his backpack, Andrew became his best friend.

The Pet Parade

Today we met some friends and went to the Pet Parade. It was Andrew's first parade. He had a lot of fun watching all the bands, cars, clowns and, of course, pets.

Pointing to the balloons that were floating in the sky:

Our friends, Jack and Molly.

Andrew's first sucker (he tried 4 of them before the parade was over).

Mostly people brought dogs to the parade. But there were all kinds of animals there.
This girl had a monkey on her head:

This bird traveled in a wagon during the parade.

There are two adorable kids in this float. The sign said that they were a little Barack and Michelle Obama...complete with secret service agents. Too cute.

Dressed as Civil War soldiers.

Can you imagine walking the parade like this?

These were hilarious. The Shriners were riding on motorized coolers.

'Skates'....the Wolves mascot.

Hey! We know those people!

Ellie came running to see Andrew:

Andrew loooooves Ellie:

Party!

Today was the end of the year party for the school where I teach. I told Andrew last night that tomorrow we would go to 'Papa's' (daycare) and then a party. He woke up this morning saying, "Party!"
We had a great time. Nicholas was there too so Andrew had a buddy to play with.

Step aside, Manny

There's a new fix-it man in town!

I hope there's room for two in your workshop this summer, Uncle Danny.
