Akron Zoo

We went to the Akron Zoo today with our friends Tara, Nikki and all their kids. (Nikki contributed 4 of the 8 kids that were there. lol) We had such a fun time.

Cheesing for the camera:

King Julian was there!
I like to move it, move it!

Morgan helped out so much with the littler kids. She was wonderful.

Llama, llama...mad at mama.

They all had a great time on the rope bridge:

Andrew loved this guy because he thought it was the goat from his favorite song, "The Lonely Goatherd".

Hey mom, a little privacy please.

The whole gang.

Isn't he CUTE?

Getting comfy and checking out some fish:

He was being VERY brave here. He's still afraid of dogs and anything that resembles a dog.

'Big' Logan was amazing with the little kids.

Logan had such a great time feeding the goats:

Hey, Andrew. Who's your friend?

Babingos! (Andrew's word for flamingos)

Andrew and Isabelle checking out the flamingos:

Road trip!

We took our first family road trip today. The boys did pretty well. There was some fighting in the back seat until I put my duffel bag between them. We stopped to see our friends, the Santillis, and are spending today and tomorrow with them. We always have a great time with them even if we're just hanging out in the family room together.

Logan and Devon:

Andrew found a kazoo and serenaded us all night:

Tara has two BIG dogs. Daniel was not impressed. Mostly, he just didn't want them to lick him but he smells like chocolate and mint so how could they help themselves?

It's very sunny at the Santilli's. You have to wear shades.

Tara's dad 'called' Andrew from his cell phone. Andrew sat there talking to him as if it was perfectly normal.

Sears Tower

I've lived in Chicago twice...once for 3 years and this time for 14 years. I've never been to the top of the Sears Tower...I've never even stepped into the lobby. Until today. We went with the Daniels family (of course) and had even more fun than I was hoping to.

Ready to roll:

Our adorable little skyscrapers:

Stepping into the magnificent mile:

Ellie was so excited to get her picture taken here because she thought it was short for China Town (she is Chinese in her heart, she says).

The view was incredible:

Checking out his new city.

The whole deck actually retracts on this pulley system so they can wash it.

He really just likes hanging in his stroller:

I cannot believe I was out there. They took everyone's picture and then 'let' you buy it at the end. It was a great picture but not worth the $22 they wanted me to pay for a 5x7 on cheap photo paper. Plus, Daniel wasn't in there with us. Otherwise, I might have been tempted.

Looking down from the deck:

They have no fear:

The Daniels family:

and, of course, we topped off our downtown adventure with a trip to the Ethiopian restaurant. :)
