Sears Tower

I've lived in Chicago twice...once for 3 years and this time for 14 years. I've never been to the top of the Sears Tower...I've never even stepped into the lobby. Until today. We went with the Daniels family (of course) and had even more fun than I was hoping to.

Ready to roll:

Our adorable little skyscrapers:

Stepping into the magnificent mile:

Ellie was so excited to get her picture taken here because she thought it was short for China Town (she is Chinese in her heart, she says).

The view was incredible:

Checking out his new city.

The whole deck actually retracts on this pulley system so they can wash it.

He really just likes hanging in his stroller:

I cannot believe I was out there. They took everyone's picture and then 'let' you buy it at the end. It was a great picture but not worth the $22 they wanted me to pay for a 5x7 on cheap photo paper. Plus, Daniel wasn't in there with us. Otherwise, I might have been tempted.

Looking down from the deck:

They have no fear:

The Daniels family:

and, of course, we topped off our downtown adventure with a trip to the Ethiopian restaurant. :)

  1. OMG, that gives me heart palpatiations!! Look, my hands are shaking so badly I can't even spell palpitations. That scares the crap out of me. It's a beautiful city. That is on my to do list for this Summer. Bus trip to Chicago! I am too wimpy to drive :)

  2. I haven't been up in the Sears tower since high school...those pics really make me miss living in a city!!! and they freak me out!!!

  3. WOW!!! AWESOME pics!!! I am so jealous!!! Maybe one day...

  4. What an amazing experience!!! I love the see thru wall and floor, what a clever idea! Wow and wow what brave kids who look like they are enjoying every bit of it.
    What a fun day!!
