Woosha!

Most Ethiopian children are afraid of dogs when they come to the U.S. Dogs run wild there and are not generally kept as pets. Daniel was very afraid of them but has come around. He wants to like them...wants desperately to pet them...but still screams whenever he sees one. For a while, he thought the rocking horse in my room was a dog and would scream every time he saw it. Now, he barely notices it...until today. For some reason, he decided to 'pet' it and then started screaming. Andrew and I egged him on because it was hilarious (and we wanted to get video of it so you could join in the fun.)
