Happy Belated Birthday

Last night, we celebrated Wilson Manno's 5th birthday. We're over a month late but no one in this house except for me understands that amount of time so it was good. He was excited to have a dinner and cake just for him and to then open his presents. I originally had bigger plans for his 5th birthday which included a few friends and a trip to the movies to see 'Planes' but he was just as excited about celebrating with our new family of four.
One of the 4,129 things I've learned over the past 23 months of waiting for our family to be complete is that my perfect plans aren't always the best plans and that plans B, C, D and/or Z are often better than my plan A.  This was one of those times and instead of one 'perfect' party, he had two really great parties which included many of the people who love him---both here and in Haiti.
