So long, molluscum!

Many of you who have never met Daniel in person don't know this but when I picked him up, he had a case of molluscum. Don't google it...you will see some very nasty pictures. He had smallish wart-like growths on his face when I first saw him in Ethiopia. At first, there were a few on his face (including one on his eye that they treated with nail polish) but later he had many more on his face and the back of his head. I have retouched most of the pictures that I have posted here because I didn't think he needed to be reminded of those later on. Recently, they have begun to clear up and when I picked him up from daycare last week, the last one was gone.
(I'll spare you anymore details but let me just tell you that they have been my nemesis. If you ever watched 'Seinfeld' you know the inflection that Jerry always used when he said 'Newman'. I felt the same way about 'molluscum'. I hate them with a passion and will admit that I actually used nail polish on a couple of them that were hidden in his hair.)

Unretouched photo....you can see that he had about 5 of them in this picture:

Ta-Da!! Molluscum---free!!! (and SUPER cute!)

Sprinkler fun

We spent the afternoon playing in the water at the Daniels' house. The boys had a BLAST.

Andrew would like to have his own Levi.

Andrew LOVED this and Tate was happy to oblige.

Puddle jumper:

Two against one.

This one cracks me up.

I think he likes it.

This one is definitely going in a frame.

Daniel had so much mist sitting on his hair that it looked silver.

His first taste of watermelon.

Begging for more...

Bubbles!

Andrew got his haircut after school today and was a CHAMP. As a reward, we stopped at Wal-mart and bought some super bubbles. They couldn't wait to finish dinner and get outside to play with them.

Success!

They took a quick break to roll down the hill. I love the look on Daniel's face in this picture. It's a look that we see often...those Ethiopian eyebrows. :)

I just love a good tushy shot.

I'm so mad that these are blurry because moments like this don't happen all that often.

Giving his brother some of his bubbles after Daniel poured all of his out.

This is the '70's' action from Pioneer Woman. There's just something about it that I really like.

Rice and Beans and Ice Cream

Rice and beans with the Daniels' family and then out for ice cream. We're living large!

Andrew has itouch envy. Dream on, little man.

Rice and beans!!

I looove that little face:

Building a chip tower in a bean foundation. Eat your heart out, Trump. This kid has talent AND great hair.

Tres amigos:

Yep. That's my son eating ice cream off the table top.

uh-oh. brain freeze.
