Happy 2nd Birthday!

Today was Daniel's 2nd birthday! I'm amazed at how much he has grown and changed since he got home. He is definitely a 2 year old....'no' is his favorite word. He is starting to talk (a LOT) and copies everything he can that his big brother does. We had a low-key, wonderful day today. His real party is on Sunday when we will celebrate his birthday and his baptism.

Andrew is an expert present opener so he gave him a few pointers.

Chuck trucks were one of the toys they had at the Care Center so they have always been a favorite of his since coming home.

We went to McDonald's for lunch.

When we got home, he opened another present.






My brother, sister-in-law and their kids came into town today to help us celebrate.
And they brought another gift--a Toy Story sleeping bag!


Uncle Dan showed him how to use it.




Gramma and Grandad gave him a rolling backpack like Andrew's. He loves to stuff it full of treasures and wheel it around.


It rained most of the day and late in the afternoon, we had a terrible storm. It knocked out the power for the rest of the night. Dinner did not go exactly as I had planned it for him but he still got to eat injera and lentils and he was very happy with that.
