Merry Christmas, Bereket!

It is Christmas in Ethiopia today. They follow the Julian calendar so their Christmas is always on January 7th. It is not like American Christmas...but then, what is? Christmas Eve is a day of fasting followed by church on Christmas Day and a meal of Doro Wat (spicy chicken) and injera. Christmas presents are usually a small gift of clothing. This is Bereket's second Christmas. I hope that his birth family has peace today with their decision---it must be very difficult for them to celebrate without him.
