Carving pumpkins

We had some of our Guatemalan friends over today to carve pumpkins. We hung out in our community building and had a great time together.

Andrew's first time feeling pumpkin guts.

Dan and his mom, Mary, scooping out their pumpkins.

Grace wasn't too excited about the gooey stuff.

Dan lasted longer than any of the other kids at the carving tables.
At one point, all the kids were playing and the moms were still at the tables carving.

Don't they look great?

Andrew kept sticking his fingers in the mouths of the pumpkins,

and then licking his fingers. Yum!

We had a great lunch of mummy hotdogs, jell-o jigglers, apples with caramel dip, yummy cupcakes and chocolate milk to wash it all down. It was delicious.

We did some of this:

a little of this:

and a lot of this:

Everyone had fun today and I've been nominated to host the annual Halloween party. What have I done?

  2. How cool that you know so many local, fellow adoptive Guat-parents. Looks like you all had fun, especially the kids. From the looks of that snack table, I can tell you that you are way too organized.
