We went to the local rec center with an adoption group today. We met lots of new friends who were adopted from several countries including the U.S. I had already met some of the parents and their kids, but it was last summer and Andrew wasn't home yet. They were excited to finally meet him.
We had a great time. The rec center has an indoor playground and Andrew was itching to be a big kid and get on the equipment. The floor was made from recycled tires and Andrew crawled everywhere! Afterward, we went out for pizza with three other single moms who have all adopted from Guatemala. We had a great time and we're looking forward to getting together with them again soon.

Mary called this slide the "cellulite buster". I was tempted to go on it a few (hundred) times.
Just watching the big kids slide by.

ReplyDeleteOh, how I remember those inside playgrounds. Crawling through and sliding down those "contraptions." Carissa loved every second of it. Me? Not so...but we still went all the time. Andrew looks like he was having a ball.
